Parent Talks

Once a year, STEP Birmingham holds a Parent Talk to help assist parents in practicing at home with their children, and to give an opportunity for parents to discuss their experiences in raising a Suzuki student in an open warm environment.

Performance Opportunities

Students are given a variety of opportunities to perform throughout the year. There are the annual group "Play Down" recital, end of year STEP recital, and the less formal, monthly Sunday recitals. Graduation Book Recitals also happen twice a year, for those students who are ready to move on to a new Suzuki Book.

These recitals are a chance for the students to hone their performance skills and gain confidence in their playing.

Workshops

STEP Birmingham brings in some of the most famous Suzuki teachers from around the country once a while for a weekend workshop.
